The Philadelphia Inquirer is reporting that the Phillies will offer “big money” to Soriano. Good. Take him. I can’ imagine the Phillies sign both Soriano AND Aramis Ramirez and I think Ramirez is a better fit in Philly.

Ok, two items. First, signing of Brett Myers to 3 year 25.75 million dollar contract. Seems about right in the current system, but want to see what you think. Also, Rowand for Linebrink rumor. I think this is a dumb idea, however, Phillies need bull pen relief. Any thoughts?

I agree it’s a dumb idea. For the Padres. I don’t know why they have absolutely no faith in Termel Sledge. Frank Robinson seemed to think this guy was going to have an impact type career. He did have major surgery for one of his hamstrings and it took a while to recover, but he seemed to be playing well towards the end of the 2006 season. I say give the kid a chance. Keep the bullpen intact and win this NL West again.
As for Myers, I like it. Young kid, decent record last couple of years, been pitching more innings per season. Homers are a little high, but his home field is in that bandbox of a stadium. Who wanted that place designed like that?

Yo, where is a new post about spring training. It has been a week and you guys have nothing about pitchers and catchers reporting. Whats up with that?
