This is a blog about baseball. It is run by two guys who on opposite sides of the country. One Padres fan and one Mets fan. They disagree vehemently on things like baseball labor disputes (Crash is pro-labor, LaLoosh is pro-management) and whether Willie Randolph should have left Oliver Perez in for the rest of the sixth inning in game 4 of the NLCS. But they both agree that baseball is by far the best sport ever invented.

The idea for the blog is that our unique geographic perspective and our passion for the game will make thblog more interesting than the others out there. Hopefully you agree.

I had a question for you guys. The Phillies have 6 starters and I was wondering what your thoughts were on them trading away Lieber for somebody(as in who). Thanks. Nice blog.

I wouldn’t do it. The way prices are going now. You have him under a decent amount of money. He can be a perfect long man or if someone in the rotation gets hurt (I’m eyeing you Jamie Moyer!!!), he should be able to fill in nicely. Come trade deadline someone needs pitching he might be a able to be had for some close to MLB ready players from a team desperate to stay in the hunt.
